Caldera announces stage update to core RIP and textile leadership

Caldera has launched the update of its core RIP V11

The software publisher has announced an update to its core RIP suite, V11, with its popular versions VisualRIP + and GrandRIP + and its accessible, powerful workflow software, StreamLive. Caldera users can achieve maximum productivity across these solutions by using the new RIP rack servers, now commercially available.

Caldera has released the latest version of its flagship RIP software for inkjet, industrial and textile printing: Caldera RIP V11.1 is now available on Caldera Usernet and via the on-line notification feature.

As a result of its business strategy, Caldera has focused on improving existing modules to provide users with improved colour management, more automation capabilities, improved average ink savings and more complete finishing tools.

Caldera V11 was released to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary last year, and 2017 now sees the advent of V11.1. This update introduces the ability to define custom media sizes within the print interface without needing to configure new media in the server administration. For ultra-connected printers, such as the HP Latex range, this enables Caldera to recognise the media type and size when loaded on the engine. It also sees the introduction of exponential linearisation targets in EasyMedia to improve colour calibration and stability. Further improvements to popular modules include additional functionality in PrintBleed and enhanced savings in InkPerformer.

“The Caldera RIP is already one of the wide-format industry’s most popular print production suites worldwide,” comments Joseph Mergui, Caldera’s CEO.
