An immersive advertising to celebrate sports in Taipei
To celebrate the arrival of the next edition of the “Summer Universiade” the metro is disguised as an Olympic stadium.
The 29th edition of the “Summer Universiade” will take place soon, the second largest sports event after the Olympic Games, dedicated to university students worldwide. This great event takes place in Taipei, the capital and most populous city of Taiwan.
In order to get the Taiwanese into an Olympic and sports mood, the subway operator and the Taiwan tourist office created an immersive advertising campaign. They transformed the branches of the main subway line into playgrounds. They incorporated water lines of an Olympic swimming pool, foot lands, athletic starting lines, something for all tastes. Social networks proved the idea to be a complete success! In the social networks you can see photos of transport users posing as if they were swimming, are getting ready to run, etc. They let their imagination fly with original photos that are shared with all Internet users. A great way to celebrate sport and sportsmanship!
They expect almost 10,000 athletes from 150 different countries for these university Olympiads to be held from 19 to 30 August 2017. During these university Olympics, athletes face each other in different sports. Before this great event ends, we will have time to see many photos on the social networks of users and athletes having fun with this immersive advertising.
