THE PLUG&PLAY WORKSHOP

PLUG&PLAY IS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR VISITORS TO IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION, BASED ON REAL-LIFE PRODUCTION AND MARKETING PROCESSES, RIGHT AT THE HEART OF THE C!PRINT TRADE SHOW.

This year, the PLUG & PLAY project will allow once again visitors to immerse themselves into pop-up areas that will allow them to project themselves in the various opportunities offered by printing solutions and their associated techniques. Distributed in each of the 3 floors of the exhibition center visitors can discover the following areas of innovation:

PLUG&PLAY PLANTA ALTA: PRODUCT CUSTOMIZATION
The most innovative technologies of product personalization will be gathered in this area to create a complete production chain, from the online personalization to the final product.

PLUG&PLAY ENTRE PLANTA: INSPIRATION AREAS
This project is an experimentation area conceived around the latest trends in digital printing. Creative, designers, marketers and brand managers will be able to inspire and imagine their own campaign and their own collection of personalized products.

THE PLUG&PLAY FOR THE THIRD EDITION IN 2016: 

The PLUG&PLAY workshop focused on advances in digital printing for textile applications. Another new feature was that the creation and production of personalised PLUG&PLAY spaces that benefit from the experience of global solutions printers. They partnered with the workshop and were presented at the trade show’s La Plataforma area:

TIC is a multidisciplinary design studio whose contemporary designs will help to set the atmosphere at the PLUG&PLAY bar.

Brown Tailor, specialising in textile solutions, will work together with Loli Morono, creative director of the Proxectos F1 studio, to create a space dedicated to the latest developments in textiles for decoration, signage and fashion.

Marc Marti, branding specialist, will personalise a complete pop-up store with the PLUG&PLAY identity.

PLUG&PLAY ENTRE PLANTA: INSPIRATION AREA

This year’s PLUG & PLAY project is  once again deployed as pop-up areas that will suggest to marketing and branding managers, designers and communication agencies, new personalization solutions that will allow them to carry out unique retail campaigns that can meet the demands their clients.

Visitors will be able to discover 2 pop-up areas: on one side, a bookstore and on the other, a «Café». The full potential of printing techniques will be carried out in this customized area by the company The Image Company, along with the support of the designer Guille Garcia Hoz and with the new materials that will be provided by printers and material manufacturers.

Visitors will find something to get some inspiration and to see the potential new markets: interior decoration, retail, visual communication, etc. 

Venture into the “jungle”, the graphic theme of each area or custom product, and surprise your imagination by seeing all the different applications that can be made!

What are the applications that will be presented this year?

  • Printed interior decoration: wallpaper, innovative print media
  • Design of a retail area: label, signage, communication at the point of sale, personalization solution at the point of sale.
  • Photography: decorative paintings and custom furniture
  • Textile printing: textile decoration, curtains, etc.
  • Design of decorative objects: lamps, furniture, etc.

Focus on the associated printer THE IMAGE COMPANY

TICThe Image Company, a Madrid company, has been selected this year to customize these two areas, and to demonstrate its full creative potential.

The Image Company is a company with great professional background, founded in 1969, specialized in PLV production and everything related to advertising and visual communication. He works from the first step to the last: his creative department can help with the design and development of his idea, through the production of the same, until the assembly of the elements if necessary. It has its own facilities and state-of-the-art machinery.

Already 10 manufacturers associated with the project!

  • Manufacturers of material: Mimaki (Digidelta), HP, Roland, Epson, etc.
  • Manufacturers of supports: Hexis, HP, Decal (Digidelta), Chromaluxe, Armtex, Meevo, etc.

 

 

Nearly a dozen product personalisation techniques will be on hand in this space to create a complete production chain, from online personalisation to the final product.

From inkjet printing and sublimation transfer to laser engraving and cutting, digital technologies transform promotional products into marketing tools before your very eyes, and reinforce brand image in the process.

 

TEXTILES:

Textile products can be personalised with a wide range of techniques adapted to the production volumes and level of quality you’re looking for.

At the PLUG&PLAY workshop, you can explore the characteristics of these technologies: direct inkjet printing onto items like running shoes, heat transfer from a printed film (FLEX) onto handbags, screen printing on T-shirts, embroidery on caps, and more. Visitors can try out their personalisation options and identify the techniques that will work best for their products.

When choosing your images, no matter what kind of surface they’re printed on, print quality is an important consideration. Digital technologies offer a new alternative with a traditional twist on photo editing. A dedicated workshop equipped with a large-format hot press lets visitors print their images on different materials like aluminium sheets, wood and even ceramics.
